Biometric recording @ Long Bay gaol

In preparation for my forthcoming interviews with inmates at correctional centres, I attended the Long Bay complex today to have my biometrics taken.

I had prints taken from my left and right index fingers by tapping a pad three times with each finger. The diagram above was at the prison and demonstrates how the biometric fingerprint is reduced to a binary data stream. And so my bio-data and I enter the digital archive ...
